A Nonprofit Built on Redemption, Skill, and Second Chances
Sign of Hope is a faith-rooted, nationwide nonprofit organization headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, dedicated to transforming lives through hands-on training in the business sign making and installation industry. We believe every person carries purpose — and that the right skill, paired with genuine support, can rewrite any story.
Through real-world apprenticeship, mentorship, and full-cycle workforce development, we equip men and women rebuilding their lives with a marketable trade, a paycheck, and a renewed sense of dignity. Every sign manufactured by our trainees stands as a visible reminder that broken pasts can build beautiful futures.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Your Gift Becomes Someone's Second Chance
Every dollar you give places a tool in a trainee's hand, a skill in their future, and a paycheck in their family's home. You are not funding a program — you are funding the moment a returning citizen, a recovering addict, a veteran, or a survivor finally hears the words welcome back. That moment changes everything, and it begins with you.
Where Your Donation Goes
100% of every gift fuels our mission — training equipment, materials, mentorship, and the Nashville manufacturing facility that will train hundreds of second-chance men and women each year. Sign of Hope operates with full transparency and lean overhead so your generosity reaches the people who need it most. Give once, give monthly, or give boldly — every amount builds something real.
Who We Serve — Lives Worth Investing In
At Sign of Hope, we open our doors to anyone who has stumbled and is ready to stand again. The people we train include:

Returning Citizens After Incarceration
Men and women reentering society after prison face one of the steepest climbs in America — often locked out of stable employment despite their readiness to work. Our program meets them at the gate with training, structure, and opportunity.

Individuals Completing Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation
Recovery is only the first chapter. Sustainable sobriety requires purpose, routine, and community. We provide all three through a craft that demands focus and rewards consistency.

Veterans Reintegrating Into Civilian Life
Many of our nation's veterans return home carrying invisible wounds and struggle to translate their service into stable civilian careers. Sign of Hope honors their sacrifice with a clear path forward.
Survivors of Domestic Abuse Rebuilding Their Lives
For survivors rebuilding independence after domestic abuse, economic empowerment is freedom. Sign of Hope provides a self-sustaining trade, a safe community, and the dignity of standing fully on their own.

Single Parents Rebuilding Stability
Single mothers and fathers carry the full weight of providing for their children, often locked into low-wage jobs that make stability impossible. Our program equips single parents with a real trade, and a real path forward.

Individuals Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
The Deaf and hard of hearing community brings exceptional focus and craftsmanship to skilled trades. Sign of Hope provides inclusive training, visual learning environments, and equal opportunity in a career built on precision.
Our Mission to Build the Nation's Premier Second-Chance Sign Manufacturing Plant
Sign of Hope is raising $5 million to build a state-of-the-art sign manufacturing facility in Nashville, Tennessee — a flagship campus where lives are rebuilt one sign at a time. This facility will house advanced fabrication equipment, classroom training spaces, mentorship offices, and full-scale production capacity, allowing us to train, employ, and graduate hundreds of individuals every year.
Your donation is not a handout. It is a hand up — invested into infrastructure that will transform lives for generations.
How the Sign of Hope Program Works

Hands-On Trade Training
Trainees learn every facet of the sign industry — design, fabrication, vinyl application, electrical components, channel lettering, monument signage, and professional installation. This is real work, taught by real industry professionals.

Mentorship and Personal Development
Every participant is paired with a mentor who walks alongside them through the program. We address the whole person — not just the resume — with life skills coaching, financial literacy, and faith-based encouragement for those who welcome it.

Job Placement and Career Pathways
Graduates leave with a portfolio, industry certifications, and direct connections to employers across the country. Many are hired by Sign of Hope itself; others step into careers with our partner sign companies nationwide.
Why the Sign Industry
The commercial sign and graphics industry is a multi-billion-dollar sector with steady demand, strong wages, and a chronic shortage of skilled labor. By training second-chance individuals in this trade, Sign of Hope solves two American problems at once: the workforce gap and the reentry crisis. It is one of the most strategic, scalable, and dignified pathways out of poverty available today.
Proven Pathway Out of Poverty
Skilled trades change lives fast.
A Trade That Supports Families
Stable careers. Stronger homes.
Five Star Craftmanship
Trained to the highest standard.

Every Donation Builds Something Real
When you give to Sign of Hope, your gift becomes tools in a trainee's hands, materials on a workshop floor, and ultimately, a sign hanging proudly outside a business — built by someone the world counted out. Your generosity is the bridge between a person's lowest moment and their proudest one.
Built on Faith, Driven by Results, Open to All
Sign of Hope is grounded in the conviction that every human being is made for purpose and worthy of restoration. While our roots are faith-based, our doors are open to people of every background, belief, and walk of life. We measure success not by sermons preached, but by lives rebuilt, families reunited, and communities strengthened.

The Cost of Doing Nothing
Every year, hundreds of thousands of Americans walk out of prison gates, rehab centers, shelters, and shattered situations with nowhere to turn. Without opportunity, nearly two-thirds return to the very places they fought to leave. The cycle is not a character flaw — it is a system failure. Sign of Hope exists to break that cycle, one trainee, one trade, one transformed life at a time. Doing nothing costs lives. Doing something costs far less than you think.
A Vision Bigger Than a Building
The $5 million Nashville manufacturing plant is not the finish line — it is the launch pad. From this flagship campus, Sign of Hope will scale nationwide, opening regional training centers in cities where second chances are needed most. Every sign produced funds the next trainee. Every trainee becomes the next mentor. This is a self-sustaining engine of restoration, and you are invited to help build it from the ground floor.
Where Your Dollars Go
100% Mission-Focused
Every dollar donated is stewarded with transparency, accountability, and reverence for the trust you place in us. Sign of Hope operates with lean overhead so the maximum portion of every gift directly funds training, equipment, materials, and trainee support.
Tools That Build Lives
Your donation purchases real tools placed in real hands — vinyl plotters, CNC routers, welding stations, installation gear, and the raw materials that turn a beginner into a craftsman.
Mentors, Meals, and Mentorship
Beyond equipment, your gift fuels the human side of the program — mentor stipends, trainee meals, transportation assistance, and the quiet, daily support that turns a program into a family.
Partner With Us - Corporations, Churches & Communities
Sign of Hope is actively seeking corporate sponsors, faith communities, civic organizations, and individual champions ready to stand behind a movement that delivers measurable, lasting change.
Whether through financial partnership, in-kind donations of equipment and materials, hiring our graduates, or amplifying our message — there is a seat at this table for every partner who believes in second chances.
